Aina is a branding studio on Maui that works with causes and companies trying to move something forward. A studio’s own identity has an odd job. It can’t look like any one client, but it has to prove it could make any of them look good.

We built Aina an identity that stays out of the way of the work. The mark is simple enough to sit next to a client’s logo on a case study without competing. Type and color carry most of the personality, so the system can shift from screen to print without breaking. Nothing in it was designed to impress on day one. It was designed to still fit in year five.
